Rigid Scope Rebuilds on Arthroscopes and Small Joint Optics

The failure that matters most in arthroscopy is the one that develops slowly. A shaft levered against a portal bows a fraction of a millimeter at a time, and the lens stack inside goes out of alignment long before anyone would call the device bent. What the surgeon reports is a picture that has gotten worse, not a scope that has broken.

Straightening alone does not fix that. The relay has to be realigned and then checked against a resolution target, which is how our arthroscope repair service handles every arrival, alongside seal integrity testing and a straightness measurement.

Small joint optics get the same treatment with less margin for error. If the rod lenses have shattered, the relay is rebuilt rather than realigned, and we tell you which of those you are paying for before you approve anything.

Image complaints almost never come from one part. They come from an optic slightly softened, a coupler slightly drifted, and a cable down a third of its fibers, all at once. Pull any single component and test it alone and it looks acceptable, which is how rooms end up replacing the wrong thing twice.
